Black Tea- Black tea is a type of tea that is more oxidized than green and white teas. Black tea is generally stronger in flavor than the less oxidized teas. All four types are made from leaves of the shrub Camellia sinensis. *Oxidized*-Oxidation refers to a series of chemical reactions that result in the browning of tea leaves and the production of flavor and aroma compounds in finished teas. Depending on the type of tea being made, oxidation is prevented altogether, or deliberately initiated, controlled then stopped.
